Wesley J. Harris, MD


 
A native of Houston, Texas, Dr. Harris moved to Bristol and joined Bristol Gynecology and Obstetrics, P.C. in 1987. He is a 1980 graduate of Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas and completed his residency at Vanderbilt University in Nashville. He completed a fellowship in pelvic surgery in Baltimore, MD.

Dr. Harris has published several papers over the past 15 years on the subjects of Gynecologic Surgery.
Dr. Harris is board certified in both general Obstetrics and Genecology and female pelvic medicine and reconstruction surgery (also known as Urogynecology).

Dr. Harris is a member of the society of Gynecological Surgeons, a national organization promoting advances in gynecological surgery.

He and his wife Kelley, also a physician, have a daughter, and a son. Dr. Harris enjoys golfing and playing the guitar. He has written several songs promoting the sanctity of life.

David P. Russell, MD


 
Dr. David Russell has been a member of Bristol Gynecology and Obstetrics, P.C. since 1990.

He is a native of Jonesborough, Tennessee and received his B.S. Degree from East Tennessee State University. A 1986 graduate from the University Of Tennessee College Of Medicine, he completed his residency at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.

Dr. Russell's special interests in medicine include gynecologic surgery, laparoscopy and obstetrics-especially moderate risk pregnancy.

Dr. Russell is a member of the Sullivan County Medical Society, the Tennessee Medical Association, and the Tri-City Obstetrics and Gynecology Society.

Farming commands most of the Dr. Russell's leisure time. Seated on his tractor, he is indeed a happy man. He is a proud parent of three daughters, and a son. They reside on their farm in Sullivan County.
 
 
 

Ross R. Spires, DO


 

Dr. Spires and his wife Gena are natives of Cookeville, Tennessee. He has completed residency training at the East Tennessee State University Quillen College of Medicine. Prior to four years of training in Johnson City, Dr. Spires completed two years in Pikeville, Kentucky at the Pikeville College School of Osteopathic Medicine. He is also a graduate of Tennessee Technological University with a bachelor of sciences.

Dr. Spires and Gena have three children. His interests outside of work include golf, fishing, camping, coaching soccer and spending time with his family. Dr. Spires has done medical and evangelical mission work in Romania, Venezuela, and Dominican Republic/Haiti.

Obstetrics and Gynecology have been passions of Dr. Spires since before medical school. His primary interests include: pelvic floor and urinary incontinence surgery, minimally-invasive surgery including robotic surgery, osteopathic manipulative medicine, and compassionate obstetric care. Dr Spires has won multiple awards for teaching obstetrics and gynecology at the Quillen College of Medicine and continues to teach Bristol family practice residents to help improve the obstetric care in East Tennessee.
 
 
 

Stacie L. McCray, FNP


 
Stacie is a native of Bristol, Tennessee, and she resides here with her husband Jason and their two children; one son, one daughter. Stacie received her B.S. in Nursing from King College. She then worked several years in the Intensive Care Units and Cardiac Catherization Lab at Wellmont Bristol Regional prior to pursuing and completing her Doctorate of Nursing Practice at East Tennessee State University. Stacie has been a Family Nurse Practitioner for two years and is excited to be joining the team at Bristol Gynecology and Obstetrics.

In her spare time, Stacie enjoys spending time at South Holston Lake and cheering on her children at their sporting events.
